// passing a prop firm challenge
Nearly everything written about passing a funded challenge is about the entry, the strategy, the setup. But that is not where most challenges are lost. They are lost on the rules, and the good news is that the rules are the part you can actually control.
Pull up the stories of blown challenges and a pattern shows up fast: the trader usually had a strategy that worked. What ended the account was a rule, not a chart. A daily loss limit breached by one trade too many. A maximum drawdown hit after refusing to stop. A stop quietly moved to "give it room." A loss followed, within minutes, by a bigger trade to win it back.
The strategy earns the profit target. Discipline is what keeps the account alive long enough to get there. That is the whole game, and it is why two traders with the same setup get two different outcomes.
Notice that none of the four is a knowledge problem. You already know not to breach the limit or move the stop. Knowing is not the issue; doing it in the moment is. So the fixes that work all share one shape: the decision is made before the pressure, and it does not depend on willpower once the pressure arrives.
EXIT CODE is not a strategy and it will not pass a challenge for you. What it does is enforce the five rules above on your own cTrader or MetaTrader 5 account (FTMO, Fusion, or any other cTrader or MetaTrader 5 broker). You set your firm's limits once while calm, and before every trade eight gates check it against those limits and return one word, CLEARED or BLOCK. The daily-loss lockout, the post-loss cooldown, and the stop-integrity check are gates, and a BLOCK has no override button. It makes no promise about profit. It just removes the rule-breaks that end challenges.

Not because their strategy is bad. They break a rule: they breach the daily loss limit, exceed the drawdown, move a stop, or revenge trade after a loss. The strategy earns the target; discipline keeps the account alive to reach it.
What is the hardest rule to follow?
For most traders, the daily loss limit combined with the urge to trade after a loss. Accounts are rarely lost on one bad idea; they are lost on the reaction to a small loss.
Can a tool help me pass?
No tool can trade for you, predict the market, or promise a pass, and this is education, not advice. A discipline tool can enforce the rules you set while calm: a daily lockout, a post-loss block, a stop-integrity check. That is what EXIT CODE does. It does not make you profitable; it stops the rule-breaks that end challenges.
How do I stop breaching the daily loss limit?
Set it on a calm day, measure your live distance to it before every trade, and make the session stop when you reach it rather than relying on willpower. A hard lockout that fires before the breach ends the day while the account is still alive.
