Your first session, in order.

EXIT CODE doesn't give you a system to trade. It enforces the one you already have. Five steps from signing in to running your first gate-checked trade, and each builds on the last, so do them in order.

On your phone now? The live gate runs on desktop. When you sit down at your computer, just enter the same email again at exitcode.trade. You get the same access key back and nothing is lost. It's also in your welcome email.

Learn what the gates are for

Start with Module 1. You can trade before you finish the course, but not before you understand why willpower fails at the screen and why structure works where it doesn't. Module 1 covers that in about fifteen minutes.

Do: listen to Module 1. Keep the cheat sheet open beside it: the eight gates on one page.

2

Write your own criteria

The gates check your rules, not ours. Before your first session, write three things down, while you're calm: what a valid setup looks like (specific enough to say "no"), your risk per trade as a percent, and where your stop goes structurally. This is the system the gates will hold you to.

Do: write your setup criteria, your risk %, and your stop logic. If a rule can't reject a trade, it's too vague. Tighten it.
3

Run your first trade through the gates

When a setup forms, open the workstation and load the trade before you place it. The eight gates evaluate in order (your state, setup, stop, size, and the in-trade limits) and return a verdict.

Cleared → place the trade Block → the trade doesn't qualify
Do: load the trade, read the verdict, and place it yourself in your broker, or connect cTrader and let EXIT CODE place it with your stop attached. The gates decide whether it qualifies; you press the button. A Block is the system working, not stopping you.

Log how you felt before it

The part most journals never capture is your pre-trade state, and it's the part that predicts the blow-up. One line before the session, the trades after. Over a few weeks it shows you your own pattern.

Do: log your pre-trade state and the trade in the journal. Honest beats flattering.

Review the week, not the trade

A single trade tells you almost nothing. Once a week, look at the record across sessions: which gate you overrode most, which state showed up, whether it's trending. That's where a saved session turns into a changed trader.

Do: run the weekly review on the dashboard. Measure rule-adherence, not profit and loss.

That's the loop. Learn the gates → write your rules → run trades through them → log your state → review weekly. The gates protect your execution; they don't raise your win rate or move the market. What they hold is the one thing that's yours: the quality of the next decision. The gap was never knowledge. The structure is what closes it.
